Our website address is: https://www.ghazali.org. The mission of the site is to provide information and not to collect information. I am in the business of dissemination and NOT in collection of user’s information. Information that you provide us/me on Imam Ghazali is the information that I share. My interest is academic and scholarly and not in personal information. The website has always been free of advertising and inshallah will continue to be for the foreseeable future.

Cookies

For the most part I don’t allow any comments on posts. I rather you email the information directly to me. However in case I do leave the allow comment on a page or post and if you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. This is especially true if it’s “You tube” video and other content providers so your data may not be safe from them. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

We don’t intentionally share any data with anyone that we know of. Since parts of the website are using the WordPress content management system. They and the template providers may use such means. I try my best to limit that and use only trustworthy sources. If it was up to me the web would be just like books. No tracking, no advertising. Keep knowledge free as its meant to, how are we to advance humanity given our limited lifespan if we don’t share our knowledge with the next generation just like the previous generations have shared and offered their knowledge.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What rights you have over your data

If you have left comments, you can request to delete the file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
